Grant and I were out and about shopping today. We bought a few "winter" clothes for this growing boy. He was gracious about the time I spent at Scrap It! Just 2 little sale items today. We went to Costco for one of their roasted chickens. (We all like it so that was the dinner plan.) While we were at the checkout counter this lovely woman came up and spoke to Grant. She introduced herself as Grant's speech therapist. I asked her how Grant was doing and she said that he tries his best and is a very good student. Bravo Grant!

The 30 Day Placement
The day before middle school started for my son, the school called a "30 day placement" meeting. This meeting included the Resource Specialist, District Ed Specialist, School Psychologist, our legal advocate, Speech Therapist and myself. There was a brief intro to the special ed teachers. Agreement was set on the school's desire to do additional testing and then meet again in 30 days to set up the IEP that would be in place over the coming year.
